Simply put: "Take 5" is an interview with a DJ or producer, either in written or audio format, that invites the artist to answer a few questions and share their thoughts on five pieces of music.  There isn't necessarily any rhyme or reason to this: It could their top 5 favorite dance jams of the moment, five of their most influential tracks from a certain time period, or five of their newest vinyl purchases.
